Code of Conduct

1. Expected Standards of Business

GBWCCI is a platform for serious economic engagement. Members and Partners are expected to conduct all B2B interactions, procurement activities, and communications with the highest degree of professional integrity.

• Representation: Always represent your enterprise's capabilities, financial standing, and ownership structure honestly when engaging with partners or applying for opportunities.
• Performance: Honor commitments made through the GBWCCI network. Delivery failures impact the reputation of the entire women-led ecosystem.
• Collaboration: Engage in the network with a mindset of systemic upliftment, knowledge-sharing, and constructive dialogue.

2. Prohibited Behaviors

To protect the psychological safety and commercial viability of the platform, the following behaviors are strictly prohibited and are grounds for immediate membership termination:

• Aggressive Solicitation & Spamming: Scraping the Member Directory for cold-calling, selling Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) products, or flooding the network with unsolicited promotional material.
• Breach of Confidentiality: Sharing proprietary information, unawarded tenders, or private strategic data discussed in closed roundtables without explicit consent.
• Misrepresentation & Fronting: Falsifying B-BBEE credentials, women-ownership percentages, or financial readiness to gain access to corporate/government opportunities.
• Harassment & Exclusion: Any form of discrimination, hate speech, or abuse directed at fellow members, GBWCCI staff, or external stakeholders.

3. Use of the "GBWCCI Member" Brand

Active members in good standing may use the GBWCCI Membership Badge on their digital properties. However, membership does not imply endorsement by the Chamber. Members may not claim to speak on behalf of GBWCCI without explicit authorization from the Executive Office.
