1. Data Sovereignty & Trust

At the Global Business Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GBWCCI), the security of your business and personal data is our primary operational concern. This policy outlines how we collect, process, and protect your information within the ecosystem and the Business Data Lab.

2. The Information We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to provide institutional value:

• Identity Data: Names, contact details, and executive profiles for the Member Directory.
• Enterprise Data: Business size, sector, financial tiering, and operational constraints (used for matching opportunities).
• Transactional Data: Payment history processed securely via Payfast (we do not store raw credit card numbers).

3. The Business Data Lab & Anonymization

GBWCCI aggregates economic data to produce sector reports and inform policy advocacy. Enterprise financial data used in the Business Data Lab is strictly anonymized and aggregated. We will never expose your company's proprietary commercial data to competitors or the public.

4. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell your data. We may share necessary vetting credentials with designated Institutional Partners (e.g., banks or government agencies) strictly for the purpose of unlocking opportunities or capital for your business, and only with your explicit consent via the Opportunities Board.

5. Security Infrastructure

Our platform is secured using industry-standard Firebase Authentication and Firestore Security Rules. Access to sensitive data is strictly role-based.

6. Your Rights (POPIA)

As a data subject, you have the right to:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
• Request corrections to any inaccurate enterprise information.
• Request the deletion of your profile upon membership cancellation.
