Terms of Membership & Service
Last Updated: January 2026
1. Institutional Purpose & Acceptance of Terms
The Global Business Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GBWCCI) operates as an economic infrastructure platform. By applying for membership, accessing the platform, or engaging in GBWCCI activities, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access the platform.
2. Membership Application & Vetting
GBWCCI is a curated ecosystem. All applications are subject to review. We reserve the right to approve, reject, or reclassify membership tiers based on business size, legitimacy, and alignment with our economic mandate. Misrepresentation of business credentials during onboarding is grounds for immediate termination without refund.
3. Fees, Billing & Auto-Renewal
Membership is sold on an annual basis. By selecting a tier and completing checkout via our payment gateway (Payfast), you authorize GBWCCI to process the annual fee. All fees are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are non-refundable. Notice of any fee adjustments will be provided 30 days prior to your renewal date.
4. The Deal Flow & Member Conduct
The GBWCCI platform facilitates business opportunities (tenders, deal flow, and partnerships). Members are expected to conduct all B2B interactions with the highest professional integrity. Spamming the network, engaging in predatory business practices, or violating the community Code of Conduct will result in permanent expulsion.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
While GBWCCI provides access to economic networks and opportunities, we do not guarantee financial returns, contract awards, or capital investments. Platform services are provided "as is." GBWCCI, its Board of Directors, and Executive Office shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or commercial damages arising from your use of the network.
6. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in the jurisdiction of the courts of KwaZulu-Natal.
